Day 1 : UK

Fly from London to Beijing

Day 2 : Arrival Beijing

Your splendid journey to China begins as you arrive at airport in Beijing. Our guide will meet you and transfer you to the hotel where you can relax and enjoy the rest of the day.

Day 3 : Beijing

This morning, visit the imperial treasures: Tian'anmen Square and the Forbidden City. As world’s largest public square which can hold 1 million people, Tian’anmen Square is always an important venue for most of the national ceremonies. Stroll across the Square, you will see the magnificent imperial palace complex - the Forbidden City revealing itself to you without reservation. With more than 500 years history, the Forbidden City will bring you back to Ming and Qing Dynasty by presenting thousands of gorgeous imperial treasures and architectures. Lunch will be followed by a tour to Temple of Heaven, where the emperors made sacrifice to Heaven, praying for good harvest for the year. Its whole-wood (without a single nail) structure makes Temple of Heaven a great achievement in Traditional Chinese Architectural History.

Day 4 : Beijing

Today’s sightseeing starts from driving out of the bustling downtown to reach one of the world cultural heritages - Great Wall. Mutianyu Great Wall is a less crowded and more tranquil section where you can see the great wall winding along the mountain ranges like a golden dragon. Later after lunch, you will visit the Ming Tombs. 13 emperors and their wives and sons of Ming dynasty were buried there.

Day 5 : Beijing (fly) Xi’an

Having appreciated so many imperial treasures, today you will experience the original Beijing Culture by having a rickshaw riding through Hutongs. Riding through various Hutongs with different shapes, lengths, directions and seeing ordinary life of Beijing people in many courtyards inside the walls, you can savor the typical old capital lifestyle. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the airport for a flight to Xian, a city with more than 3,100 years of history. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to hotel.

Day 6 : Xi'an

After breakfast, you will visit the Qin Terracotta Army. The life-sized warrior figures and horses, each of which has distinct facial expressions and positions, have been guarding the tomb of China's First Emperor for over 2,200 years. After lunch, your journey proceeds to the ancient City Wall. It was re-constructed in the 14th century during the early Ming Dynasty based on the inner imperial palace of Tang Dynasty. Later followed by the tour to Big Wild Goose Pagoda. This seven-story Buddhist pagoda was first constructed to house the Buddhist sutras brought back from India

Day 7 : Xi’an (fly) Guilin

Before transferring to the airport for flight to Guilin, you will visit Shaanxi History Museum, which is located to the northwest of the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda and houses over 300,000 items like murals, paintings, pottery, coins, as well as bronze, gold, and silver objects.

Day 8 : Guilin (ship) Yangshuo

Refreshing and exciting tour today! Morning bath yourself in the fresh air and embark on a Li River Cruise, letting your eyes dote on the magnificent landscape flanked by green hills. After 40 miles cruising on the river with many twists and turns, you will reach Yangshuo, a county surrounded by karst peaks and bordered on one side by the Li River. In the afternoon, you will stroll along West Street, which is a bustling market street with more than 1400 years history.

Day 9 : Yangshuo (bus) Guilin

Today you will enjoy the rural beauty of Yangshuo by meandering in the countryside full of lush green fields and rice paddies. After the refreshing excursion in Yangshuo, you will be transferred back to Guilin by a scenic motor bus ride. En route you can admire the timeless beauty of nature.

Day 10 : Guilin (fly) Shanghai

As a landmark and symbol of Guilin, Elephant Trunk Hill is a must-go tourist attraction. The large rock got its name because it looks exactly like an elephant drinking water. Later you will visit Reed Flute Cave, a natural limestone cave with a large number of stalactites, stalagmites and rock formations in weird and wonderful shapes. In late afternoon, you will be transferred to airport for flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, you will be met by local guide and transferred to the hotel.

Day 11 : Shanghai

Today’s sightseeing includes Yuyuan Garden, Shanghai World Finance Center, and the Bund. Morning slow down your step and stroll in Yuyuan Garden, an ancient Chinese garden with beautiful pavilions, winding walkways, dragon-lined walls, artistic rockery and reflecting green pools. After that you will visit Shanghai World Finance Center, the tallest structure in Mainland China. Then you can meander along the Huangpu River and enjoy the gorgeous view and buildings of various architectural styles of the Bund.

Day 12 : Departure Shanghai
