This morning, visit the imperial treasures: Tian'anmen Square and the Forbidden City. As world’s largest public square which can hold 1 million people, Tian’anmen Square is always an important venue for most of the national ceremonies. Stroll across the Square, you will see the magnificent imperial palace complex - the Forbidden City revealing itself to you without reservation. With more than 500 years history, the Forbidden City will bring you back to Ming and Qing Dynasty by presenting thousands of gorgeous imperial treasures and architectures. Lunch will be followed by a tour to Temple of Heaven, where the emperors made sacrifice to Heaven, praying for good harvest for the year. Its whole-wood (without a single nail) structure makes Temple of Heaven a great achievement in Traditional Chinese Architectural History.

Today’s sightseeing starts from driving out of the bustling downtown to reach one of the world cultural heritages - Great Wall. Badaling Great Wall is the most impressive and representative section where you can see the great wall twisting and turning along the mountain ranges. Later after lunch, you will visit the Ming Tombs, 13 emperors and their wives and sons of Ming dynasty were buried there.

Today’s excursion will take you to the Summer Palace, which was once used as a summer residence by the imperial family. Its temples, pavilions and halls set in a park around the vast Kumming Lake will present an idyllic view. After the tour in Summer Palace, you will experience the original Beijing Culture by having a rickshaw riding through Hutongs. Riding through various Hutongs with different shapes, lengths, directions and seeing ordinary life of Beijing people in many courtyards inside the walls, you can savor the typical old capital lifestyle.

Today is at leisure for you to explore this magnificent city on your own. Later you will be transferred to airport for the flight to Shanghai, a renowned international metropolis in China.

In the morning, you will visit the Jade Buddha Temple located in the western part of Shanghai. The Buddhas are carved with whole white jade, which gives the Buddhas the beauty of sanctity and make them more vivid. Later stroll in Yuyuan Garden, an ancient Chinese garden with beautiful pavilions, winding walkways, dragon-lined walls, artistic rockery and reflecting green pools. After that you will visit Shanghai World Finance Center, the tallest structure in Mainland China. Then you can meander along the Huangpu River and enjoy the gorgeous view and buildings of various architectural styles of the Bund. In the evening, Xintiandi will be a perfect place for you to enjoy the unique combination of the 1920’s Shanghai and 21st century modern lifestyle: exterior Shikumen housing and interior internationally gallery, bars and cafes.
